Flooding on the Mary River

During this nesting season, the height of the Mary River has increased many more times than in the past 10years.

Today, all the nesting banks are inundated. Unfortunately this is not the first time this season.

If it were not for the work of Tiaro Landcare and their volunteers, all clutches laid in the wild this year would be lost. It highlights the vulnerability of this species.
